Black Rice Bowl

Are you ready for this special, delicious and healthy bowl that the lovely German blogger @regina_healthylicious created?

She used our Organic Nerone Black Rice and combined it with sweet potatoes – sweet combination!!

You can serve this meal with roasted chickpeas and raw zucchini slices or other veggies, but here’s the instruction for the basic recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup (100g) Organico Nerone Black Rice
  • 1 small sweet potato
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt, pepper, sesame, chili powder to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel the sweet potato and halve it.
  2. Boil the rice in slightly salted water for about 35 min.
  3. Cut one half of the sweet potato into small chunks and fry them in oil until slightly browned.Mix the boiled rice and roasted potatoes together and season to taste with salt, pepper and chili powder.
  4. Meanwhile cut the other half of the sweet potato into chunks, cover them with water in a saucepan and bring to boil. Then simmer until tender.
  5. Remove the remaining water, mash with a potato masher or a blender and season with salt, pepper and chili powder.
