Great Taste Award Winners Bundle 2023

To celebrate four of our products receiving Great Taste Awards this year, we have put together this promotional bundle featuring the four winners, and a FREE GIFT of a bottle of Organico sparkling juice Apple and Ginger Fizz. 

The four products included are: 

Fish4Ever Anchovies in Organic Olive Oil: Fished in the warm waters of the Southern Mediterranean south of Sicily and Calabria by local boats, processed in a small factory by hand, left to mature in large vats filled with sea salt and then packed 6 to 8 months later in a local green and fruity extra virgin organic olive oil.

What the judges say: 'The olive oil tastes like it is good quality. The flavours are rich with that lovely salty kick, which enhances the natural flavours of the fish rather than overpowering them. The finish is beautifully long and moves through different flavours.'

Organico Organic Sesame Seed Oil: Our first cold pressed organic sesame oil is perfect for use with macrobiotic foods such as whole grains and fresh vegetables. 

What the judges say: 'A light golden oil with a gentle nutty aroma. The mouthfeel was creamy and silky, with a subtle sesame flavour that would work extremely well as a salad dressing or on grilled fruits. The sesame flavour was mild, but the quality of the overall product shone through.'

Organico Organic Nerone Black Rice: This organic nerone black rice is grown and packed in Bianzé by the Picco family. Beautifully fragrant and textured it works well in hearty casseroles or with fish and shellfish dishes. According to legend, black rice was reserved exclusively for the Chinese Emperor and the Imperial family, where it was much appreciated for its nutritional properties.

What the judges say: 'This rice has a rich, dark, shiny appearance and a lovely nutty aroma. It has a great texture with an enjoyable chew and an earthy, nutty flavour that lingers on the palate and does not need much more by way of addition. A tasty product which stands strong in its own right.'

Organico Organic Passata: Our organic sieved tomato Passata is both elegant and full flavoured. Packed immediately after the harvest, our tomatoes come straight from the field.

What the judges say: 'This is a vibrant red tomato sauce, which looks and tastes quite pure. The flavour is solid, not too watery with a natural sweetness from the tomatoes- it would be a good base for other sauces.'

(FREE GIFT) Apple and Ginger Fizz: Zingy ginger combined with sweetness of apple with no added water, sugar, flavour or preservatives and produced directly in beautiful organic and bio-dynamic orchards.
